As I lamented HERE... our kiddos are getting so big! Sometimes I rejoice at the thought of the day when we will sleep through the night- every night! Or have no more diapers. Or October through April doesn't mean a constant runny nose and cough. However, most of the time what really happens is late at night when they are both asleep and Cory and I start talking about how big they are getting and remember this or that...I start to get all weepy and blubber and I just want to bottle them up and keep the little forever!
But life goes on, and they most certainly will get bigger...so I will remember what Dr. Suess said...
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
So here are a few things that Brig says that make us smile. He is already starting to grow out of some of them so I thought I better write them down sooner rather than later.
Whizzers = Scissors
This is really great when he shouts with joy..."Yay! My Whizzers!" when we get the art supplies out!
Puz = Because
Trench Tries = French Fries
Mamma (with a long a sound) = Grandma
Ponka = Aunt Monica
Chicken Poop = Chicken Coop (We decided to just call it a chicken house now)
Passpier = Pacifier (Yes...we still have this awful thing at bedtime!)
If Brig does something and either he thinks he was wrong or you tell him he was wrong he will happily just say... "Oh, sorry 'bout that!" Not just sorry...he thinks he is big.
His new thing is to know EXACTLY what you are talking about and he asks "What kind" all the time...so if we say "We are going to go see Grandma." He says "What kind of mamma?" or "Ouch, I hit my arm." He says "What kind of arm?" And basically that can be inserted into any conversation because he wants to know "what kind" all the time!
