37 Weeks...

This is me...37 weeks pregnant.
Dilated to a 1 (I was expecting WAY more than that) and 50% effaced.
I have had some back labor and quite a few more Braxton Hicks contractions than I did with either of my other babies.
I feel like he is really low and ready to come soon.
We are getting ready too.

Both the kids always pray for their baby brother.  Usually that is the only thing that Ellie says in her prayers. I don't think she really gets what is about to happen...but sometimes I think she has a pretty good grasp.

I have had such a strong nesting instinct this time.  I think it is because with 2 kids already there is so much more to get ready.  This is the little nook that he will sleep in.  We are going to try all 3 in one room.

This was me with Brig almost to the exact day as the picture above.  I was pretty huge...and I think I am almost as big with this baby.  I was significantly smaller with Ellie.
Here I am with Ellie- right before I had her.  I was a few days further along.

We are getting super excited but we just have one more thing...A NAME!!!! We can't decided...so any help or suggestions would be fantastic.  We are looking for something short and unique.  HELP!

I Forgot to Mention...

Baby #3 is a
BOY!!!!

Here he is, flexing his cute little muscles:)

We have had 2 ultrasounds now and both times he has been pretty mellow. He didn't really move around much at all and we weren't able to get the best profile shots- but we are all getting excited for this little man to join our family.

Much More Than 6 Years...

Cory and I had our anniversary yesterday and since it was Sunday we didn't go out on a date (that will be later this week) but we did go on a little trip down memory road...

SEVEN
Seven years ago (to the date) we went on our first date which included Chinese Food, a Crossfire, the Hughes, our bucket lists and a whole lotta sparks.

SIX
I can't believe that it has already been six years since we were married! That is crazy- but boy, I sure do love this guy- even more than that happy, hot day in August so many years ago.

FIVE
I made him wait almost five months to kiss me...I know- that's a super long time but I knew once we kissed it was kind of a big deal for both of us and I wanted to be sure!

FOUR
I don't have a picture for this number but when we first "met" we went for a super short ride (probably about 4 minutes) in Cory's little red Miata and he was pretty convinced in just those few short minutes that we were going to be together...it took a little longer for me to consent:) - despite all his charm and good looks!

THREE
Three (brown) houses later...and three remodels. I know, we are glutens for punishment apparently!

TWO
Two (with another one on the way) very cute little kiddos later.  They enrich our marriage and lives so much!

ONE
And this happy life gets to last much longer than just a lifetime, eternity to be exact, thanks to this one place- the temple, where we were sealed for time and eternity!

I'm so grateful for Cory and the wonderful man that he is to me and our family. Oh man, do I love him!

Getting Antsy...

We are all getting a little bit anxious around here.  You see I am dialated to a 6 and have been since Thursday morning...but she is not quite ready to come yet I guess! It should be anyday!

Until then we still have some things to think about...like a NAME!!! We were quite set on one but now I am not so sure...SHEESH...can't they just come with a little tag on them telling us what the name should be:)

Ready or Not...

I had a doctor appointment today.
I am 36 weeks and 3 days...to be exact:)
I am dialated to a 4 and 85% effaced.
Whoa.

I could (and did with Brig) walk around like this for a couple weeks.
Doc doesn't think I will make it to my due date.
Arrival of Little Miss is right around the corner.
Ready or Not.

Call me crazy but I am a tad bit more frightened to do this whole birth and newborn thing for the second time!!!! AGHHHH
Now...call me bipolar because I am also quite excited to meet our Little Miss we have been waiting for. YAYYYY!

Move Your Body!

So the Little Lady inside of me is a MOVER!
Not just little kicks here and there- she is full on doing yoga/kickboxing/gymnastics/clogging;)

So...lots of babies move in their mama's belly right...that is kinda the point...
Here is my question...
She moves way more than Brig did.  Brig is quite the mellow, reserved child.

SOOOO....
Are the dance moves she does perhaps indicitive of her personality?
Anyone? Anyone?

It's a....

GIRL!!!

We are excited to balance out the family with a little girl! We had our ultrasound yesterday and both of our children seemed to be in a wiggly mood.  Despite my visions of our whole family getting to see the baby, Brig decided the drinking fountain was much more exciting and wanted dad to take him to get 300 drinks...baby girl decided that she didn't really want to hold still and that she would practice her acrobatics.  She had her feet all the way over her head and was reaching up with her hands playing with her toes.  She was quite the mover.  The tech commented on her "huge guns" and her long legs.
We are pretty excited!!

A Brother or A Sister?

So tomorrow is the big day that we find out what we will be having...a boy...or  a girl?  Whenever we ask Brig what it will be it goes something like this...

Mommy:  "Brig, are you going to have a brother or a sister?"
Brig:         "Sister."
Mommy:  "Brig, is the baby going to be a girl or a boy?"
Brig:         "Boy."

He is still a little unsure but we will see soon!!! So any guesses....a brother or a sister?

Easter 2011 {WARNING: Lots of Pictures!!!!}

This year we spent Easter with the Walker side.  Which means...COUSINS!!!! Brig loves playing with his cousins and had so much fun on Sunday.  He is getting old enough now that he somewhat-sorta got into all of the festivities.  We celebrated with some tried and true traditions, some family favorite traditions, and a new tradition as well.

I made Resurrection Rolls to go with dinner.  You make the rolls with a marshmallow inside but when you bite into them they are empty- just like the tomb was empty after Christ was resurrected.  It was a little over the boys' heads...obviously Brig was way too young to understand but it was nice having a tradition that was centered on the true meaning of Easter- our Savior! I think we will keep this one going...

We started things off with the classic EASTER EGG HUNT which Brig soon got tired of and just wanted to play in the sandbox or throw his ball.  But he still was able to score lots of fun things:)

Not quite sure why Cor did this...but that's the man I married!
Like I said...he LOVES being with his cousins.

One of the things that the boys got from the HUNT were some WATER GUNS!! Brig is really into guns right now so I thought that he would love them...and sure enough...the boys and grandpa got into a big water fight!
Brig started some FRIENDLY FIRE...not really sure what exactly he was aiming for but I thought it was pretty funny!

Then we DYED SOME EGGS
BEFORE
I have heard that brown eggs make much richer colors when they are dyed...so we gave them a shot and lucky for us Grandpa Madesn has lots of chickens that were willing to share.
AFTER

This is a tradition that Cory (and "Sis. Price," now known as Aunt Christy) learned while serving their missions in Latvia.  It is a really fun thing to do with all of the beautifully colored eggs. Here is how it goes...
Everyone chooses their egg and then on the count of 3... you hit them together and whichever egg cracks is the loser. The great thing is that each egg gets 2 tries...double elimination!
Cory's egg was the victor of the night!
He was a little proud.
I decided that I would find out what the gender of the wee little one growing inside of my belly...come on people...this is completely accurate!  So I dyed one side pink and one side blue.  Whichever side didn't crack was the gender....so apparently we are having another
BOY!!!
(I will let everyone know the truthfullness of this statment SOON!!!)
Then the boys ended the night with a little wrestling.  Brig's favorite thing to do with his cousins...he laughs even harder when he is the one being dog-piled on!

We hope everyone had a Happy Easter.
We love our family
We love traditions
We love Brig
But most of all we love our Savior.

Suprise!!!! A picture is worth a thousand words!!!!

This is the reaction we got when we told Grandma & Grandpa Madsen that
Brig is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!!
He is pretty excited himself:)

Rock On Baby

Well...we did it! A couple of months ago, Cory bought me tickets to KENNY CHESNEY!!!!!!! Just for the record, I love Kenny! The concert was July 14...perfect, one week before our little guy's due date. No problem. That was until July 7th when we went to the doctor and found out and I was dialated to a four and ready to have the baby at any time!!!! Looks like we would not be going to the concert after all...then the days passed ever so slowly and before we knew it- July 14th had arrived. So with doc's permission...we got to go see Kenny. It was a blast! In more ways than one... it was definitely my favorite concert that I have ever been to- the only thing that tainted it was that I was stressing out the entire time worrying our baby would have permanant hearing damage from how loud the music was!!!!! It was way fun and way nice of Cory to buy me the tickets!!!! The funniest thing about the whole event was that I had not had a single contraction for almost a week and a half- but on the way home from the concert I had them like crazy! I think we have a very obedient kid on our hands! Now... little baby...you are welcome to come anytime!

A Numbers Game

Here are a bunch of the numbers in our life right now...

The 4th of July...small town rodeo, rafting the river....that's right rafting at nine months (disclaimer: it was pretty mellow water)

Lots of great fireworks celebrating Emmett's 100th anniversary! Way to go Emmett- the fireworks were great!

1 Happy Camper because he found a screaming deal on his favorite lawnmower that is no longer even made...it's a really REALLY GOOD ONE! and he knows lawnmowers, so I'm taking his word for it! And 1 very nicely mowed lawn that will probably be mowed quite frequently now. Like I said...he loves it!

38 weeks along, 14 days to go, 2 anxious new parents, 1 giant belly, 99 degrees last week, all because of 1 little guy with no name as of yet!

Sweet!

Only 25 days left!!!! And that is if I go full term... the doctor predicts that we will have this fella a little earlier than his due date. I have "dropped" and I am almost in that safe zone for when he could come- so starting next Tuesday- it is free game! Just for good measure (I figure the more I say it the more likely it is to happen, right?) I think this little guy should come on July 15. That is the day that this mama is crossin her fingers for so listen up baby!

On Thursday night some ladies in my good ole hometown, Sweet, put on a baby shower for us. It was so kind of them and I think it was a really great party! I love seeing some of the people that I grew up with and don't get to see very often, even though I really don't live that far away at all! People were all way too generous and of course, so SWEET! Cory and I really appreciate everyone's kindness. So a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came!

Look closely...I think this might just end up being one of our little guys favorite shirts!

These are SO cute! Cory was really grateful for everything but it was really tough for him not to show a little bias towards these rockin little boots!

Two of my great friends! We were all "Sweet Girls" and now Jules (middle) is getting married. We are all movin' right along life's crazy road!

THANKS AGAIN SWEET!
