Spontaneous...

After Janis came to visit Idaho, he wanted to go down to Utah and watch General Conference (which was SOO good). Cory agreed to drive him down there and drop him off to another missionary family.  So Friday morning we said goodbye to Janis and kissed Cory and said "see you tomorrow." He was just going to go down and then come back the next day. No big.
Then about 30 minutes after they left...I started to think "Why didn't we go with him? Why are we staying behind when we could go have a little adventure?"
Then about 1 1/2 hours later I really started to wonder...so I called Cory. He said they were actually still in Boise since they had to make a couple stops. I told him to wait!!!!!!!
We hurried and went from pjs and a messy house to being dressed and packed in about 30 minutes (the messy house part didn't change). Then we hurried and met Cory and Janis in Boise and jumped in with them for the rest of the trip.

Thankfully- we had some family who was kind enough to accommodate us on such short notice. And we had so much fun!!!

While we were there, we visited a store called Scheels- it was pretty neat and there were so many cool things that see so get ready for PICTURE OVERLOAD!

The tropical fish tank was a huge hit!

These two had so much fun together (despite what their '2cool4school' vibe is saying!)

Since we were being spontaneous, we decided to stay for another night and make the trip worth our while.  We also added some spontaneity to the trip by sneaking Costco pizza and drinks into the restaurant in the store.
(We may only be spontaneous once in a while but we are quite "thrifty" all the time!)
(But we also aren't very good rebels...I was watching over my shoulder the entire time worried that we were going to get in trouble and we all scarfed down our pizza to finish as soon as possible.  I know...we live on the edge.)

This was the coolest part of the store...a ferris wheel inside! Brig has been wanting to ride one for about a year because he has a book that talks about one.  It was so fun to have a little one on one time with him.  We loved it!

We had some pretty fun views from the top too!

Where's Waldo...err I mean Cory and Ellie.

There were tons of  photo opportunities that the kids actually got to play on. They loved it!

Except this one...

Then we surprised Cory's other sister who has been soooo sick.  We wish we could have spent more time with them but we were worried that we would overwhelm her with our rowdiness! But we should have stayed longer!

When we got back to Ammon & Leslie's they surprised me with a birthday cake! Thanks you guys for the laughs, cake, breakfast, sandwiches and Tupperware, crib mattress and camping pad, and all the fun! We sure loved getting to visit the sisters in Utah! And we are sure glad we didn't miss out on some fun memories together by staying home!
