Second Boys Reunion...

Cory had a really special group of friends in high school. They were pretty close and had some pretty creative fun...a lot of which happened at their friend Bryan Moses's ranch. So it was only fitting that they have a reunion at the Lazy R Ranch this year.
This was actually the second time around...the first one was less of a formal affair...you can read more about it HERE.
It was neat to see how many of them came from different towns and states with their families for this overnight get together. New Jersey, Texas, Tennessee & Northern Idaho. There is so much I could say about it and the fun times that we all had...but I'm just going to share a few pictures of the group and say that the men had a great time, the women all got along and enjoyed each other and the kids could have played together for days.
I will say this- all these men married great women and served faithful missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and are still active in the church with their families. It is a pretty unique group and it was a privilege to rub shoulders with them.

Clogging Reunion...

I was a clogger.
Like...big time. Like...practice all year long, performances all summer, competitions in Utah, Jr. Olympics in New Orleans (it WAS considered a sport for like 2 years)
And we were pretty good. Not to brag or anything...
And people can laugh and tease me all they want (Cory, cough, cough) :)
but  I loved it and it was a huge part of my growing up years. And so were the many, many people that I was blessed to know because of clogging.
So I jumped when I heard there was going to be a 20 year Gem Clogger reunion.

Sure, it was in the cafeteria of the local elementary school. And sure, only about half of the teammates that I danced with were there. And sure, we may be a little rusty.
But it was great. I love these people and all the memories I have!

These two ladies were the next best thing to family for me...Dian and Kari. I love them both so much and am so grateful for how they have changed my life for the better.

The Barker's and the Paddleboards...

We got to visit some of our good friends- the Barkers! Nick and Cory were mission companions in Latvia and became pretty close...and the best part is they both married Megans and we like to hang out just as much or more than the boys!
We always have a pretty fun time with the Barkers and this time was no exception...there was lots of playing, football, couple's Ultimate Frisbee, waterfalls and pictures, crafting, talking and laughing...but the crowning moment was when they shared a little gem with us.

Cory and Brig thought that they fish hatchery we walked past was the hidden surprise but as we kept walking we soon found the neatest, clearest pond in Idaho!

The pictures below just don't do it justice... or anywhere close to it! But it was about 30' deep and you could see all the way to the bottom! Add in some standup paddleboards, some sandwiches and great friends- and it was an awesome experience!

(These two girls were 2 peas in a pod and loved playing together!)

There were crawdads at the very bottom all over the pond.

Thanks again for the fun Barker Family! We loved it and we love you guys!
