I love hiking! And I love my people...so hiking with my four favorite people...is the best thing ever!
One afternoon last week we quickly hiked into Blue Lake. It was beautiful.
Ellie does not own a pair of tennis shoes...or any closed toe shoe for that matter so she hiked in her normal uniform...a dress and pink sandals. She did surprisingly well except for a few little tumbles and scratches.
I love how disconnected with the rest of the world you can be when you are in those "semi" remote places and yet so connected with the people around you.
The rocks are perfect for little mountaineers...Brig loves rock climbing! They played and played and climbed and climbed.
Ellie sang almost the entire hike and Jase was pretty chill in his pack as long as he had something to hold. Cory taught the kids what "natures" toilet paper was and they had to stock up with as many leaves as could fit in Cory's pockets.
It was a quick and lovely afternoon.
How Heavenly, I want to go on a hike with my family now!
