Ellie Turns 2...

Ellie turned 2 this month! We kicked off her special day by pancakes (she looooves pancakes!)

I think she is showing everyone her nails- she also loves to have them painted.

 

 

It was really great because the high school put on a parade just for her birthday...ok and for homecoming but it was still fun to watch.

 

 

My favorite part about Ellie and her birthday this year was how excited she was over each card.  She wanted to open it and "read" it all by herself.  Each one would say something original like...
"happy birthday to you, September 13th." and other really sweet sentiments that she would make up.  It was adorable to see her examine each one closely:)

 

 

 

 

 

This girl is a bit obsessed... she LOVES Cinderella...and since everyone knows how much she loves her- they catered to that this year.  With Cinderella boots, nightgown, book, 2 Cinderella dolls, umbrella and panties...there seemed to be quite the theme with her gifts.  She loved them all!!!

 

 

As I said...she is obsessed so I tried my best to make her a Cinderella cake too.  I always think that I am pretty capable and creative until I try to make a cute birthday cake.  Luckily it still took her breath away and she loved it.

 

 

 

 

We sure love this sweet and sassy, independent yet attached, beautiful, spunky little girl!

And here are two reasons:

1- She loves her brother so much.  It melts my heart to see these two interact (most of the time). Even in the way she says his name you can hear her adoration.  I hope that never changes!

2- She is really gracious.  She says thank you all the time. In fact, one night we couldn't find her pacifier and so after a few minutes of searching, I found it and she poured her heart out with gratitude for my discovery.  So sweet!
