If You Love Them...Leave Them...
Today was Brig's first day of nursery (that is a class in our church for kids 18 months to 2 years). IT WAS SO SAD!!!! I can't believe that he is old enough to go...by himself...with kids way bigger than him...and adults that he doesn't really know...and tons of other kids....by himself...without mom or dad!!!! It was a littl hard for me...and just as hard on Cory! However...Brig did great! One of the other primary presidency members went in and checked on him for me and she said...."He is doing great- he's not smiling but he is not crying." Sucess! He had a couple sad moments- especially at the end when all the parents started to come pick up there kids- that kind of weirded him out! But he did so much better than we expected. I am so proud of him...he grows more and more everyday and is just the best part of our lives!

I rememember that first day. It was a day of glory and a day of surprise when braxton happily walked into nursery not looking back and not asking, reaching, crying, or ANYTHING for me or ricky. And when we went to pick him up, he walked right out with a smile. It makes it a lot easier to take him, when I know he is happy.congrats brig! and congrats to you both as parents! You did it!
ReplyDeleteI remember Grace's first day, she walked right in and was like.. cool, see ya mom. Totally broke my heart. Then when I went to pick her up she was totally crying. I was like oh great how long has this been going on. The leader said, she JUST started crying when we cleaned up and other parents came in. So Brig is doing good :) Right on track. He is absolutely adorable and I miss you!
